We have grown significantly since those early days, becoming one of the leading and most technically advanced furniture makers in the country, but that original vision is still our driving force. Our love of making starts from the stewardship of trees, down to the hands-on-making by our highly skilled team. We believe firmly that the pleasure gained from using a piece is directly related to the care given by the hand of the maker. We make and sell our own furniture collection and enjoy working with many of the world's top architects and designers on a range of projects, fitting and furnishing offices, hotels, bars, restaurants and public buildings. About the Springboard Sofa The Springboard Sofa is produced from oak veneered plywood which allows the very large panels to be made without joins and minimises the chance of them warping over time. The cushions have a foam core which is wrapped with feathers, offering soft, comfortable seating with some firm support. They do not require as much plumping and fluffing as 100% feather cushions. The cushion inners have been fire-retardant treated which allows the covers to be left in their natural linen state. The frame can simply be wiped over with a damp cloth if needed. A good quality furniture polish can be used to bring back the shine and will help to disguise any scratches. The covers can be spot-dry cleaned for small marks or they can easily be removed and sent for professional cleaning. Care should be taken if washing at home as, although the linen we buy is pre-washed, some further shrinkage may occur. The material is made from flax which is a natural non-dyed colour so the colour will fade away with each wash. Avoid bleaching agents and optical whiteners. It is recommended that the covers are machine washed on a maximum temperature of 40°, do not overload the machine & rinse well with water to avoid spots.
